El Habana

HOTEL DESCRIPTION

El Habana is situated at the foot of the Cuera Range, 3 km from Llanes, one hour from Oviedo and Santander and an hour and a half from Bilbao. The narrow strip of coastal land separating the mountain chain of the “Picos de Europa” from the sea, makes for the uniqueness of La Pereda. The hotel is situated on a beautiful 17,000 square meter property. The garden, with its collection of more than three hundred species of shrubs, palm trees and brackens, invites one to walk or sit on one of the benches to admire the beauty of the scenery. The hotel is spacious, full of light and movement.

ROOMS

The rooms are large, some with galleries overlooking the mountains and others with terraces onto the garden. There are connected rooms especially for families with children. The decoration, including furniture from the 1930’s, art deco and a collection of Indian glazed tiles, give the hotel a colonial air, and a relaxing atmosphere.

WHAT TO SEE AND DO

The three lounge areas and bar encourage us to stay for a drink, a chat or a read… The library with information on day trips and guidebooks is also an ideal location to relax and prepare for the next excursion. Whereas the garden, with its important collection of indigenous trees and shrubs anchor us to the countryside. On sunny days, there is nothing better than lounging around and taking a dip in the swimming-pool. The restaurant is renowned for its market fare and family recipes whilst a great breakfast puts the icing on the cake.
