A 16th century Asturian mansion with rempart, tower and chapel from the same period. A privileged location in this valley between the sea and high mountain. Contrary to the majority of the vintage “casonas”, the Palacio de Cutre is located in a remote rural setting of spectacular beauty. Abundant meadowlands and groves of chestnuts and oak trees grow in the lands of the parishes of Cereceda and Sorribas, the last remaining example of the legendary Asturcón mountain pony…

ROOMS

18 bedrooms : 6 double standard, 5 double superior, 3 triples, 1 quadruple for families, 2 junior suites (one with lounge and fireplace), and suite for families (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room with a fireplace and a balcony). All with en suite bathrooms, hair dryer and welcome gifts, heating, telephone, satellite television and safe. The superior rooms and suites are equipped with CD and DVD player, Internet connection and minibar, Jacuzzi bath in the suites.

HOTEL SERVICES

The hotel has its own “à la carte” restaurant. Breakfasts consist of fruit juice, freshly baked bread, sponge cakes, biscuits, cold meats, cheeses and cereals. Main meals consist of traditional market fare (free-range chicken with bread croutons, kid goat from the Sueve Range, maize pancakes with eggs and mince, paternoster line-fished hake with seasonal mushrooms or lemon seasoning, codfish with traditional basque pil pil or spider-crab salad with avocado and lemon sauce, foie gras pickled with Módena vinegar and salad). The hotel also offers an “à la carte” room service and packed lunch service for days out. Hairdresser’s and make-up service for special events in the mansion are available along with baby-sitting and laundry service, lounges with fireplace, library, games room, DVD and CD. Small shop selling decorations and typical local produce. Organization of special events and business meetings. It is possible to hold social functions and religious service (except of a sacramental nature)in the mansion chapel.

WHAT TO SEE AND DO

Hot air-balloon hire available from the hotel. Yacht hire for walking and fishing during season. Classical music concerts in the mansion chapel. A visit to a typical Asturian hamlet. Organization of environmental itineraries and courses e.g. cookery and flower arranging… Canoeing down the Sella, potholing, pony trekking, hiking, quads, golf, excursions with 4WD trails (to visit the Picos de Europa), bike hire, etc.
