HOTEL DESCRIPTION

The Renaissance-style mansion, Palacio La Cajiga, dates from the 17th century. Along with its sober lines, the façade still conserves the coat of arms of the Mier family. Its refurbishment, which modernised the building while conserving the original structure as far as possible, was completed in 2006. The decoration combines antique pieces with more modern elements in noble woods. Every detail has been cared for and each space boasts its own personality. High ceilings with centuries-old corbels, masonry with arched windows and window seats, interior walls in bare stone combined with stucco or ceramic tiles all create a warm atmosphere.

ROOMS

Its 8 rooms have a TFT-TV, telephone, heating and free-of-charge wi-fi access. Each has unique charm, above all the special room, with its en suite sitting room and its amazing views of the River Cares and La Hermida Gorge.

WHAT TO SEE AND DO

The garden, overlooking the Cuera Range and Peñamellera Valley, is the ideal spot to enjoy a splendid breakfast or any other bar service throughout the day. The lounge, with its fireplace and library, is a pleasant place to relax while listening to a carefully chosen selection of music. Pedro and Amaya advise guests so that they may find the best places to visit, eat or go shopping, in a pleasant, family-like manner.
