Built in the late nineteenth century, this typical Asturian Indiano building retains the story of four generations of Castro´s family.
The history of Casa de Castro begins in the nineteenth century but has its peak in the early twentieth century in the shape of D. Benito Garcia-Castro Penzol (1872-1956). Devoted to politics, he held important positions throughout his career.
Casa de Castro enjoyed this modernist epoch and after a careful restoration, it has become a boutique hotel, offering the guest part of its story, which is still preserved, and the enjoyment of modern and unique facilities in the region.

Coming from the motorway A-8, take exit 483 to Navia – Boal – Coaña.
Then take the N-634 direction to Ribadeo – Tapia – A Coruña.
Once you are in CARTAVIO, take the CÑ-6 to LOZA. Go along this road for 50 metres and you will find on the right the access to the Hotel. Coordinates GPS: N 43º 32′ 40,8” W 006º 47′ 04,2”

The rooms
There are 5 double rooms and 4 superior double rooms. All the rooms are different and have been thought to offer the guest the maximum comfort and a pleasant stay. They are equipped with TV, safe box, telephone and wifi. They have nice views to the garden, the sea and to the mountain.
What to see and what to do
The Hotel Casa de Castro has an ideal location for activities at sea, rivers or in the mountains. We suggest a small selection of plans that you can enjoy: Riding a horse and enjoy the most beautiful views of the green Coast; climbs, rafting with canoe or kayak, descent of canyons for those who likes risk, adventure; guided hiking, biking, Nordic walking; mountain routes, coastal path, protected landscapes and natural monuments (Barallo Beach, caves of Andina, waterfalls from Oneta), Reserve of the biosphere Oscos-Eo (Castropol, Taramundi, Santa Eulalia de Oscos,…), climbing (Jarrio peak, ridge of Coaña); fishing, surfing or golf are also possible near the hotel.
